What is a non-surgical nose job?
The non-surgical nose job (aka liquid nose job or non-surgical rhinoplasty) is a medical procedure that improves the appearance of your nose without invasive surgery. We can use injectable fillers like Restylane and Juvederm, Botox, and PDO threads to alter and shape a person’s nose. Everyone’s case is different and customizable regarding their aesthetic goals.
If you want to improve your nose’s appearance and avoid costly and extensive plastic surgery, a nonsurgical rhinoplasty could be an option for you. We can improve the shape of your nose, correct asymmetry, elevate the tip of the nose, and smooth out bumps and humps, making the nose look straighter and smaller. The procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete!
How long does a non-surgical nose job last?
Results can last somewhere between 9 months and 2 years, depending on the anatomy of the nose.
Is there downtime?
For most patients, there is no downtime, but injection site bruising is always possible and can last around 3-7 days.
What should I not do before and after this treatment?
On the day of the treatment, the patient should not do any cardio exercises, as this could increase the chance of getting a bruise. No facials should be performed that involve extractions on the nose for the following 2 weeks. You can wear sunglasses or glasses but don’t use the ones that push into the nasal bridge for 2 weeks after the procedure.
Are there any risks involved when getting a non-surgical rhinoplasty?
With injections, there is always the risk of pain, bruising, and swelling, but with a non-surgical nose job, these effects will likely be minimal, at least with most patients. Patients rarely experience allergic reactions to the fillers because most fillers consist of chemicals that occur naturally in the body. While the risk of side effects after filler treatment is low, there are still some complications you could experience. Specifically, should the filler be injected into a blood vessel, complications of vascular compromise occur when the filler impedes the blood flow through a critical end artery. Injectors must be knowledgeable of nasal anatomy, only a medical professional should perform a liquid nose job to avoid complications.
Can a non-surgical nose job make my nose look smaller?
A non-surgical nose job cannot physically reduce your nose’s size. However, strategic contouring can create a straighter, more balanced profile that may make the nose appear smaller.
Can a non-surgical nose job fix breathing problems?
A non-surgical nose job cannot correct structural problems such as a deviated septum. Hyaluronic acid filler can temporarily correct internal nasal collapse, which improves breathing.
Does a non-surgical nose job hurt?
Most patients experience only brief discomfort during the injections. Topical anesthetic alleviates any pain. Because the treatment is minimally invasive, it does not require the type of anesthesia or recovery associated with surgical rhinoplasty.
How soon will I see results after a non-surgical nose job?
Changes in the nose’s shape and contour are visible immediately after treatment, although temporary swelling may initially affect the final appearance. The nose will continue to settle as swelling resolves.
Can nose filler be dissolved?
We only inject hyaluronic acid filler into the nose that can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if medically necessary or if the filler needs correction.
Can I get a non-surgical nose job if I’ve already had rhinoplasty?
Yes. We perform many non-surgical nose corrections for patients who have previously had rhinoplasty but are still unhappy with certain aspects of their results. Filler may be used to refine asymmetry, smooth irregularities, or improve overall balance.
Can I still get surgical rhinoplasty after having nose filler?
Yes, having a non-surgical nose job does not prevent you from having surgical rhinoplasty in the future. However, your surgeon should know about any previous filler treatments, including what product was used and when it was injected.
